Online event

Our journey around the world ends with a closer look at the culture and music of our home country: the United States of America. We will be taking students on a journey through Jazz that will have them singing using scat syllables and incorporating their knowledge of Form structure as they play accompaniment on their craft pianos.

About the series: The Virtual PianoKids video series gives children (ages 3-8) the opportunity to travel the world with our hosts, Admiral Emily and Captain Joe, while they introduce them to the building blocks of music through fun and engaging programs. Videos will be 10-15 minutes in length and explore musical concepts such as timbre, tempo, pitch, and form, and will introduce children to music from different cultures around the world. These videos will include fun crafting components, and kinesthetic activities to engage children in multiple modes of learning, teach them how pianos work, and provide fun for the whole family. In addition to these videos, extension activities will be provided for children to continue their learning at home on their own.

All videos will be streamed on the Piano Cleveland website and remain on the Virtual PianoKids page for continued viewing and learning!

The livestream will take place at 11:30am Eastern / 8:30am Pacific.
