HHSO Violinist Jonathan Aceto, joined by JooSoo Son on piano and painter Kristin Griffis offer a sensory-stimulating program unlike any other program you’ve seen on SoundWaves Streaming Live!

On Monday, September 21st at 7:30pm Pacific, viewers will be treated to an array of audio/video elements in program which celebrates the violin for its brilliance and its expansive range of tone and effects. The incorporation of film and live-painting throughout culminates with a singular mesmerizing work, arranged for violin and piano, that intertwines the dramatic elements of virtuosity and cinema into a profound statement for the moment, and for eternity.

And perhaps the most unique part of this presentation – Throughout the program, artist Kristin Griffis will live-paint a one-of-a-kind new work inspired by the evening’s performance. This work will then be made available for purchase at the end of the concert.

Jonathan opens this visually inspired program with a set of unaccompanied violin works by both J.S. Bach and Heinrich Biber, during which we will witness the evolution and development of a real-time musically inspired live-painting by artist Kristin Griffis.
