We gear up for our 62nd and most unusual season with past favorites and new surprises. Our first broadcast of the season begins with Jessie Montgomery's Banner, a piece that aims to answer the question "What does an anthem for the 21st century sound like in today’s multi-cultural environment?" Jeremy Denk performs of one of the core works in piano concerto literature, Beethoven’s Fourth Piano Concerto. The program closes out with Mendelssohn's beloved "Italian" Symphony.
