Note from the Host: "Dear Friends,
"We recently released our CD recording featuring a set of 15 beautiful songs by Queen Liliʻuokalani, arranged for string quartet by Duane Padilla. We are thrilled to be sharing the music from the entire album with you from Hawaii Theater. This performance production utilizes professional audio and video production, incorporating 5 different camera angles and special lighting. The performance is joined by a very special guest – legendary lap steel guitarist Greg Sardinha.
"Earlier this year back in March, the four musicians – Eric, Josh, Duane, and myself – found ourselves hunkered down in Joshua Nakazawa’s apartment in Honolulu, Hawaii as the Covid-19 destruction escalated. Upon months of cancelled concerts / events and some of us unable to travel back home or to the next destination for work – we decided to pool all that we had into a CD project together. Many of you have joined us since the beginning of this serendipitous journey as we played selections from the album here on Groupmuse. With great gratitude, we would love to see you at this celebratory performance and welcome new friends to join us on our musical ride!!"
The broadcast will take place at 2:30pm Hawaiian / 4:30pm Pacific.
