Multi-instrumentalist Morgan Henderson of Fleet Foxes and Blood Brothers takes the stage to present an evening of genre-defying solo music in a pre-recorded performance produced exclusively for Westerlies Fest. The Westerlies will give the premiere of a brand-new piece by Henderson, commissioned by the ensemble for Westerlies Fest 2021.
About the Fest: Combining collaborative evening performances and new commissions with in-school concerts and a free community music workshop, Seattle-bred, New York-based brass quartet The Westerlies created Westerlies Fest in 2018 to engage students and audiences in Seattle and give back to the city that raised them.
Nightly performances on YouTube will feature The Westerlies and an eclectic lineup of guest artists and collaborators including Michael Mayo, Margaux Bouchegnies, Morgan Henderson, and ChamberQUEER.
The broadcast will take place at 7pm Pacific.
