National Sawdust: The Vanishing Point
Free (Free)
The Vanishing Point – a collaboration between experimental musicians Booker Stardrum and Lisel (Eliza Bagg), and dancer/choreographer Gwendolyn Gussman – is a work of video music-theatre conceived across distances. The Vanishing Point spirals in the anxious euphoria of our time: lonely bodies in uncanny spaces, the chaos of cyberspace and the destruction of the oceans, atmosphere, and trees. The sonic layering of Stardrum’s percussive electronic production and Bagg’s minimalist/post-minimalist vocals echo hauntingly in this apocalyptic meditation. WNYC calls Bagg "A sought-after vocalist on the so-called indie classical scene." This event is part of National Sawdust’s Digital Discovery Festival.
The broadcast will take place at 6pm Eastern / 3pm Pacific.
