Layth Sidiq, violin
Vasilis Kostas, laouto

Note from the Host: "Join us for a celebration of Musaics of the Bay's Stay-at-Home Symposium reaching 30 new commissions with award-winning violinist, composer, and educator Layth Sidiq and acclaimed laouto player Vasilis Kostas.

"Layth and Vasilis will present and discuss a selection of their collaborative performances in addition to a live, spontaneous improvisation inspired by four pieces of visual art by Symposium artists.

"The Stay-at-Home Symposium is a vital way for the community to motivate the process by which new compositions and programs are created, curated and performed - a collaboration among composers, performers, painters, photographers, poets, filmmakers, and our community members - near and far. Symposium composers and performers select community-submitted pieces as the inspiration for new music to be premiered in weekly broadcasts. For more information on the Stay-at-Home Symposium, visit https://www.musaics.org/stayathomesymposium."

The livestream will take place at 12pm Pacific.
