About the competition: Five finalists perform solo recitals livestreamed from the Indiana History Center in Indianapolis as part of a reimagined 2021 American Pianists Awards.

Kenny Broberg, Dominic Cheli, Michael Davidman, Sahun Sam Hong, and Mackenzie Melemed have each received a cash prize of $50,000 and now begin the live, public adjudication process. The competition will culminate on June 25-27, 2021 with solo, chamber music, and concerto performances. The winner will receive the Christel DeHaan Classical Fellowship, consisting of career assistance for two years, publicity, performance engagements, an Artist-in-Residence post at the University of Indianapolis, and a recording contract with Steinway & Sons record label.

The livestream will take place at 8pm Eastern / 5pm Pacific. Streaming (with a limited in-person audience) from Christ Church Cathedral, Indianapolis, IN.
