Anna Clyne – DANCE for cello and orchestra
Christopher Rouse – Concerto per Corde
Program subject to change.

As part of The Marin Festival, Music Director Marin Alsop leads the orchestra in works that are closely personal to her. Grammy®-nominated English composer Anna Clyne, hailed by The New York Times as "a composer of uncommon gifts and usual methods" found synergy with Alsop as she composed DANCE. The work, co-commissioned by the BSO, was later recorded and released with Alsop conducting cellist Inbal Segev and the London Philharmonic Orchestra. American composer and Baltimore native Christopher Rouse was a frequent collaborator and close friend of Marin. His Concerto per Corde, written in 1990, is a re-working of his String Quartet No. 2, which was inspired by a trip to the Soviet Union with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.

The broadcast premieres at 8pm Eastern / 5pm Pacific. BSO Sessions episodes begin with a performance premiere, followed by on-demand access through June 2021.
