Contemplations: Origins
Free
National Sawdust's six-episode Contemplations series on The WNET Group's ALL ARTS channel continues this week with Origins, which takes audiences back to our third season when we set out to deeply explore the diverse influences, experiences, and cultures that make up contemporary composition.
Join us this Sunday and on demand following the release for performances by Du Yun, Abraham Brody, Jojo Abot, Bishi, Sophia Brous, Magos Herrera, Anthony Roth Costanzo, Kevork Mourad, and more, including interviews with Laura Ortman, Du Yun, and composer, series curator, and National Sawdust co-founder Paola Prestini.
In the meantime, you can revisit episodes one and two of Contemplations on ALL ARTS for performances by Philip Glass, Holland Andrews, Amyra Leon, Theo Bleckmann, Nadia Sirota, and many more.
The broadcast will premiere at 7:30pm Eastern / 4:30pm Pacific.
