Teatro Galli in Rimini, Italy presents Giuseppe Verdi’s rarely performed opera Aroldo on August 27 and 29, marking the work's return to the location of its world premiere in 1857. The new production is a co-production with the Teatro Alighieri di Ravenna, Teatro Luciano Pavarotti di Modena, and Teatro Municipale di Piacenza.
Manlio Benzi will conduct the work with Emilio Sala directing the production. Antonio Corianò stars in the title role with Lidia Fridman as Mina, and Michele Govi as Egberto. Adriano Gramigni (Briano) and Cristiano Olivieri (Govino) round out the cast.
For audiences not in Italy, Opera Streaming will broadcast the opera on its YouTube page and on its website.
The livestream will take place at 9pm Central European / 12pm Pacific. The opera will be available for several months following the stream.
