Buon natale and Joyeux Noël! Join Bellevue Chamber Chorus as we enter our fourth decade of performances with the 2014 Holiday program, "Christmas in Europe"!
Our program features a diverse sample of European treasures for Christmas and the New Year. Enjoy lush arrangements of traditional carols including "Still, Still, Still" (Austria), "Pastores á Belén" (Spain), "O Yule Full of Gladness" (Norway) and more!
Cellist Nathan Whittaker (Seattle Baroque Orchestra, Cornish College of the Arts) joins the chorus for Ralph Vaughan Williams' marvelous "Fantasia on Christmas Carols."
Renaissance counterpoint weaves beautiful tapestries of sound in music by de Victoria (Spain), Dering (England) and Praetorius (Germany), and more modern harmonies entrance the ears in anthems by Tchaikovsky (Russia), Rossini (Italy), Sandström (Sweden) and Poulenc (France).
