Michael Brown, piano
Jessika Kenney, soprano

Perle – Molto Adagio
Perle – Critical Movements (No. 1)
Perle – Serenade No. 3
Trimpin – Above, Below, and In Between (world premiere)

The final [untitled] of the season is a full-on adventure. Seattle’s own kinetic sculptor, sound artist and musician, Trimpin, with an array of bells, a suspended piano and musicians (not suspended), all conducted both physically and through sensors by Music Director Ludovic Morlot. We don’t know what will happen in this world premiere, but we know it will be fascinating and wonderful.

If that weren’t enough, we celebrate the 100th birthday of the late American composer George Perle with a work reflecting his genius for creating small beautiful sound worlds that in the worlds of his biographer "...dance with wonderful elegance one moment, coming to a sudden halt the next, rich harmonies which seem to have an internal logic and consistency all their own, unlike that of any other music.”
