The Foundation for International Understanding Through Students 2016 CulturalFest Performance Showcase brings the best University of Washington artists, musicians, singers, dancers, and choreographers from around the world together onto the Meany Hall stage to celebrate the diversity and talent of the international community in our region.

Included in the program is an excerpt from "Tahmineh's Aria" performed by the classically trained, Iranian-American soprano Denná Good-Mojab. The aria is from the award-winning, Armenian-Iranian composer and conductor Loris Tjeknavorian’s opera, Rostam and Sohrab. The opera is based on the epic poem, Shahnameh (“The Book of Kings”), written c. 977-1010 CE by the Persian poet Ferdowsi.

Tickets: $15 (students $10; children 10 and under free)
