Spring and nature are the inspirations for the bookends of the Sammamish Symphony Orchestra’s final concert of the season. Conducted by Adam Stern, the program opens with Aaron Copland's The Tender Land, taken from Copland's only full-length opera. The action centers on a Midwestern family of farmers and the traditions they uphold. Brahms' Symphony No. 2, Op. 73, occasionally referred to as its composer's "Pastoral" symphony, closes the season with one of the glories of the Romantic period.

Sammamish Symphony audiences will also have a chance to hear a rising young soloist as this concert features the winner of the SSO's annual Youth Concerto Competition. The orchestra will be joined by Adrian Steele, as he performs Sibelius' Violin Concerto in D, Op. 47.

Tickets: $20 adult; $15 student/senior; $10 age 10 & under
