Seattle Pro Musica presents J.S. Bach’s monumental Mass in B minor with the renowned period-instrument orchestra Pacific MusicWorks.

Seattle Pro Musica presents J.S. Bach’s monumental Mass in B minor. Completed in 1748 just prior to the composer’s death, the Mass is perhaps Bach’s ultimate expression of both his musical skills and his deep personal faith.

We are joined by the renowned period-instrument orchestra Pacific MusicWorks with concertmaster Tekla Cunningham, Baroque trumpet virtuoso Kris Kwapis, and four stellar soloists: Kendra Colton, soprano; Joseph Schlesinger, countertenor; Zach Finkelstein, tenor; and Charles Robert Stephens, bass.

Also available: open dress rehearsal on May 13, 2016 at 8pm.

--> LMP CRITIC'S PICK. "Whenever Bach’s great B Minor Mass is sung here it is worth hearing, and this presentation at St. James Cathedral has stellar performers: Seattle Pro Musica and Pacific MusicWorks. Profoundly moving music and fine interpreters. Don’t miss." ~ Philippa Kiraly, classical music critic
