Quinton Morris: The BREAKTHROUGH

Violinist Dr. Quinton Morris tells a modernized story of Joseph Boulogne (better known as the Chevalier de Saint-Georges), the celebrated athlete, concert violinist, and composer of African origin who rose to become one of the most prolific and forgotten figures of the 18th century. Titled The BREAKTHROUGH, the innovative project combines performance, lecture, and film. Quinton presented The BREAKTHROUGH in a 22-city world tour across five continents in 2016, and the project received awards at several major film and music festivals, including the Diamond Award at the European Independent Film Awards.
