Please join us for this special Advent service, a time during which you can slow down and breathe during this holiday season and focus on the coming of the Christ-child on Christmas.
The "O Antiphons" are a historic set of antiphons that were sung before and after the Magnificat at Vespers beginning on December 17 and continuing through December 23. Each Antiphon shares an Old Testament name of the Promised Savior. In this service, the choir of Calvary Lutheran Church will sing a setting of the Antiphons by Seattle's beloved composer, the late Peter Hallock, along with anthems by Joseph Herl and Orlando Gibbons. Each Antiphon will be followed by a reading and a congregational song.
Wyatt Smith will serve as conductor/organist with Dave Kriewall assisting at the organ.
