Sine Nomine, conducted by Artistic Director Anne E. Lyman, will present a variety of Renaissance music for mixed voices, based on texts devoted to the Virgin Mary – including works by Hildegard, Ockeghem, Guerrero, di Lasso, and Victoria. We will also feature the motet and portions of the Missa "Ave Regina caelorum" for double choir by Juan Guttiérez de Padilla, a Spanish composer living in Puebla, Mexico from 1620-1664; the beautiful "Nesciens mater" by Jean Mouton; and the very moving "Stabat mater dolorosa" by Josquin des Prez.
