Clarinettissimo Festival – Day 1

Free festival includes master-classes, workshops, vendors, a community clarinet choir, and nightly performances.
National Symphony Orchestra principal clarinet Eugene Mondie is the special guest, performing both nights, and giving a masterclass Sunday afternoon.
Metropolitan Opera clarinetist Sean Osborn and SPU clarinet professor Mary Kantor will also perform and give master classes.
Alexander Technique workshop by Shawn Copeland.
Other performers include Kevin Johnson (piano), Jennifer Nelson and Florie Rothenberg (clarinets), and William Blayney (conductor).
Music of Brahms, Schumann, Nielsen, Bernstein, Marques, Messager, Baermann, Gabrielsky, Tenzer, and Strauss.
Schedule – Saturday, October 6
12:00pm – Vendors open – Come try clarinets, mouthpieces, barrels. Browse accessories and music.
1:30pm – Sean Osborn Master Class – email Sean Osborn to sign up to perform in the master class.
3:30pm – Mary Kantor Master Class – email Sean Osborn to sign up to perform in the master class.
5:30pm – Dinner Break. Vendors close for the day.
7:00pm – Eugene Mondie Recital.
