St. James Cathedral Resident Ensemble Opus 7 rings in the joyous seasons of Advent and Christmas with a stunning program of European and American favorites. This concert will feature Francis Poulenc’s dramatic "Quatre Motets pour le temps de Noël," Hugo Distler’s variations on “Lo How a Rose e’re blooming,” and the exultant “O Heiland, reiß die Himmel auf” by Johannes Brahms. Pacific Northwest composers are represented by Giselle Wyers, Stephen Brozovich, John Muehleisen, and Bern Herbolsheimer. Also featured are a variety of modern European composers including Arvo Pärt, Pierre Villette, and Javier Busto.
