The Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions: Northwest Region Finals

You can say you knew them when!

On Sunday, March 4, 2018, the 11 winners from the four Districts within the Northwest Region compete to win cash prizes and a chance to compete on the Metropolitan Opera stage. The Districts comprising the NW Region are Idaho/Montana, Oregon, Washington, and Western Canada. The 1st place winner of the Northwest Region Finals will join the 1st place winners from 11 other Regions across the United States in New York City for the National Semi-Finals, Sunday, April 12, 2018.

Each finalist in the National Semi-Finals competition receives a cash prize, coaching from the Metropolitan Opera staff, and sings in the National Grand Finals Concert accompanied by the Metropolitan Orchestra on Sunday, April 19, 2018, to a sold-out audience.

Our distinguished Region Finals judges are: Melissa Wegner, Associate Director, Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions; Gregory Henkel, Managing Artistic Director, San Francisco Opera; Bénédicte Jourdois, Voice Faculty, The Juilliard School, Manhattan School of Music.
