Everyone loves a Chaconne! A Chaconne is a type of musical composition used as a vehicle for variation on a repeated short harmonic progression. Its appeal lies in the tension between hypnotic repetition and ever-evolving variation. This program will include a Chaconne for organ by Dieterich Buxtehude; for string quartet by Benjamin Britten; for violin and organ by Tomaso Antonio Vitali; and Johann Sebastian Bach’s famous Chaconne in D minor for solo violin.

Tickets: $20 ($15 student/senior). Fees apply for online purchases.
