Now a holiday tradition in Snohomish County, this annual concert this year includes the world premiere of Mary’s Gift, a composition of Evergreen Community Orchestra bass player Chris Hartzog. Also in the program are Corelli's Christmas Concerto, O Holy Night, Sleigh Ride by Leroy Anderson, other Christmas favorites, music from other traditions, and a Christmas sing-along. The string section will perform Away in a Manger, and the brass section will perform Go Tell it on the Mountain.
A special inclusion in this concert is Evergreen Suite No. 1 by Lou-Chuck F. Donaldson, which ECO debuted at our June 1, 2019 concert. ECO is honoring Myrna Overstreet, a long-time supporter and board member who expressed her joy upon hearing that piece at what became the last concert she ever heard.
