Come join Emerald City Music for a marathon livestream benefit concert, featuring a cohort of amazing musicians from ECM's past four seasons in South Lake Union!
100% of every donation (big or tiny) will go directly to supporting musicians who are out of work due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
ABOUT THE SHOW:
COVID-19 restrictions have now forced arts presenters around the world to cancel or postpone concerts, leaving artists at home with lots of music prepared and nowhere to play. So many musicians live paycheck to paycheck, and this crisis has left many of our ECM artists completely out of work, feeling completely helpless.
In response to this, we, at Emerald City Music, are leaping to action to support our artists! We are organizing an online fundraiser beginning Monday March 23rd and fortified by a live-streamed benefit concert on Saturday March 28th, 2020 (4:00pm – 6:00pm PDT // 7:00pm – 9:00pm EDT) via Facebook Live. Artistic Director Kristin Lee has carefully selected the musicians that are in need of this help and has received an overwhelming number of responses from musicians wanting to volunteer their talents to help the whole community at this difficult time. This live fundraising campaign will directly support the musicians we care so much about... 100 % of every single donation will be split evenly by all of the musicians to help sustain them during this uncertain time.
Artistic Director Kristin Lee has carefully selected a cohort of 28 musicians from ECM’s past four seasons that are in need of this critical help. Join them on Facebook Live this Saturday, March 28th, to celebrate the end of this week-long benefit. These musicians include**:
