A story of rural charm matched by the beautiful music of Mascagni with a pastoral score, light of touch and colorful of harmony. A landowner, Fritz, bets Rabbi David that he will never give up the bachelor life. In the end, he is happy to be proved wrong and marries the lovely Suzel. Performed with piano and violin. Sung in Italian with English supertitles.
