Masters of Tradition Festival – Past Concerts

Fiddler Martin Hayes returns to the intimate setting of Bantry House in County Cork, Ireland for an eagerly-anticipated performance with pianist Cormac McCarthy & concertina player Brian Donnellan.

Immram – a setting of the suite of poems written by Nuala Ní Dhomhnaill, combining influences from the sean nós tradition, jazz, & contemporary classical music – is performed from a house overlooking Ireland's Bantry Bay.

Father & daughter duo Mick O’Brien & Aoife Ní Bhriain (flutes, whistles, & pipes) join Emer Mayock (fiddle, viola, & concertina) to perform folk music from a special 19th-C. collection from southwest Ireland.

Respected Irish poet Doireann Ní Ghríofa appears alongside guitarist Steve Cooney & accordionist Derek Hickey in this unmissable performance from the elegant library of Bantry House, overlooking Bantry Bay.

John Walsh, Ireland’s leading Flamenco guitarist, joins David Power & Marja Gaynor for a unique collaboration featuring traditional Irish tunes, contemporary music, & music from the Baroque period & 19th Century.
